Our approach to weddings

  • We individually edit every image that has made it through the culling process. However, we do not do extreme body, face, or hair retouching. Blemishes/cuts/bruises will be edited on a case-by-case basis. Edited files will be delivered in Jpeg format. RAW files will never be delivered to a client. Additional editing changes or revisions can be purchased at $30/image.

  • High Resolution Photographs can be in any way or your personal enjoyment. Print as much as you want, as large as you want from wherever you want without a watermark.

    We always encourage to order prints and albums through us so we can ensure print quality, but it is not an obligation.

  • We are based in Sylva, NC. Our travel rates vary depending on the distance from home base. If your wedding falls within a 2.5 hour radius of Whittier, there are no travel fees. The rates for further travel are as follows-

    3-5 hours of drive time - $400

    5-8 hours of drive time - $700

    if a flight is required.. cost of flight and two nights in a hotel. *note: if airfare is required for travel, the Photo Booth cannot be utilized*

  • We approach weddings from a photojournalistic point of view, which means we try to intervene as little as possible, except for when necessary. We will always intentionally set you up in the best lighting/backgrounds possible, and provide lots of direction with posing for family/group photos, and for couples portraits, but we let the rest of the day happen candidly and organically, capturing real moments and raw emotions.

    Our editing style is a combination of true to color and some earthiness. We like to keep our colors natural, with realistic skin tones, but with a little touch of warmth.

  • We offer payment plans to help make life easier! We let the amount of payments be up to your preference- between 1 and 6. To reserve the date, a non-refundable retainer is required to be put down. The retainer is just the first of however many payments you would like to make.

  • You can expect your full gallery delivery online within 6-8 weeks after the event.

    Sneak peeks are optional- 10-15 images delivered within 48 hours of the event, for an additional $125.

    We deliver an average of 50-100 images per hour of coverage.

  • Our Photo Booth is fully digital with a touch screen. It stands about 4ft tall, but doesn’t take up much floor space. We have quite an arrangement of fun props to add a variety of potential photos to the gallery. It’s quite simple to use:

    Step 1. Pick out some fun hats or props

    Step 2. Approach the photo booth

    Step 3. Take a photo

    Step 4. Enter your phone number

    Step 5. Receive your photo

  • Most of our couples choose to do an engagement session so they can have some quality photos to put on their save-the-dates, invitations, and wedding website.

    Even iff you don’t need the photos for those reasons, doing an engagement session is a great way to see how your photographer captures you two together, and you’ll get some lovely art to hang on your walls!

    Also, it’s a pretty cool bonus to have a connection with your photographer before the wedding day.

  • Part of our editing process is taking care of the little things, so you don’t need to worry about them. We have a two week philosophy- if it could disappear within two weeks, we will make it disappear in your photos.

    This does not include scars, tattoos, birthmarks, piercings, or other permanent decisions.

  • Our approach to weddings is that we strive for you to have the best experience, and not feel like you are at an all day photoshoot.

    Of course photos are important, but we want you to actually enjoy the day you have been looking forward to! We like to knock out things like family/group photos as efficiently as possible so you can get back to socializing with your guests.

    From a visual point of view, we offer both natural light and flash photos so there is a variety of styles in your gallery. Sometimes the groom likes one style, while the bride prefers the other!

  • You can reach us anytime phone or email. We try to respond within 1-3 business days. Please understand that if we are shooting weddings, we are not on our phones responding to clients. Responses on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are likely to take longer.
