This location is a little different than our other mountain views- instead of hiking to the mountain top, you are nestled in a valley with mountains all around. Right down the road is a beautiful bridge with creek access, and a historical grist mill. Fun fact: elk can oftentimes be seen here!

In the summertime, you can pick your own strawberries, attend different festivals, and enjoy a delicious Dream Whip which is sweet treat made with locally grown fruit. In the fall, there are hayrides and a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, corn maze, and lots of beautifully decorated photo backdrops filled with pumpkins and gourds.

This place offers an experience unlike the others- with your session here on the farm, you will get to feed, pet, and brush the Scottish Highland Cows. This is a privately owned venue, and is by appointment only- so you will have a personalized guided tour. It is donation based, we recommend at least a $20 donation for their time and tortillas to feed the cows.

The Road to Nowhere

The Road to Nowhere is an iconic location in Western North Carolina. The tunnel goes to.. well, nowhere. Pedestrian access only, this is the best opportunity to get all the tunnel photos you dream of without getting hit by a car. There is Fontana Lake Overlook a short drive down the road.
